Overview

Furture opening for a Personnel Security Specialist supporting a federal government client in the Washington, DC metro area. 

Responsibilities

  • Effectively processing security clearance packages ensuring appropriate entries are made into the Security Manager System and that any processing issues are expeditiously resolved.  
  • Handling other types of related security ‘ad hoc’ activities that may arise. 
  • Process a minimum of 25 Personnel Security Clearance packages each work day.
  • Provide Personal Identity Verification (PIV) office services, to include:
    • assisting walk-in and call-in users with requested security related needs;
    • understanding security processes;
    • obtaining and activating PIV cards;
    • cancelling, disabling and/or resetting PIV cards;
    • fingerprinting candidates for PIV cards; and
    • handling other miscellaneous activities.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GEB with (4) years experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Familiarity and working knowledge with the Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) system.
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Clearance Level:  Top Secret

Classification:  Non-exempt

Shift:  Day

Schedule:  Full-Time
