The Enterprise IT Solutions Engineer Lead serves as the subject expert in monitoring, evaluating, and maintaining systems and procedures to protect data systems and databases from unauthorized users. Identifies potential threats and responds to reported security violations. Determines causes of security breaches. Researches, recommends, and implements changes to procedures to protect data from future violations. Educates users on security procedures. Provides strategic level guidance to ensure compliance with Information Assurance and system security standards.  Develops strategies, action plans, system security plans and authorization packages and other supporting documentation for system security assessment. Works complex issues independently and may provide technical direction to others and/or supervise junior level staff.


  • Develop the Staff Assistance Visit (SAV) schedule, obtain Program Office approval, coordinate the SAV through the site office, and assign SAV support team ensuring clearances are passed;
  • Review the status of projects in Xacta 360 IA Manager;
  • Initial communication with the SAV site to include personnel availability;
  • Provide advanced support documentation (reference guides for Xacta and RMF process); 
  • Ensure contractor’s registration for OCONUS travel; 
  • Obtain all applicable Security Management Office (SMO) codes/special instructions and disseminate to the SAV team; 
  • Provide information on the site (hotels and other accommodations) to the SAV team; 
  • Hand carry NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-30, Site Handbooks (provided by Program Office), and provide working copy of the SAV checklist;
  • Prepare SAV in-brief and ensure the site has it prior to arrival;
  • Overall responsibility for SAV team preparation;
  • Conduct formal in-brief / Conduct formal out-brief; and
  • Review final SAV Checklist, Trip Report, and SAV Questionnaire and deliver to the Program Manager.


Required Qualifications, Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology or other computer science related discipline with 10 years of related experience
  • DoD Top Secret SCI clearance
  • Current DoDD 8570 IAT/IAM level certification.
  • Able to effectively articulate complex, security concepts to clients, non-technical management and other team members 
  • Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 Risk Management Framework Workflow tool; i.e., Xacta 360 IA Manager
  • Familiarity with system and application STIGs
  • Must have strong analytical skills 
  • Ability to perform IAVA analysis and resolution, document POA&Ms and create security documents necessary for assessments
  • Knowledge of vulnerability scan analyses, lien tracking and remediation
  • Willingness to travel CONUS and OCONUS for site visits and assessments as required
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written forms; Demonstrated ability to work within deadlines and schedules; Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and workloads; Demonstrated ability to handle direct customer interaction professionally.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and relational database concepts
  • Knowledge of Application servers
  • Knowledge of Network Management and Security Monitoring tools such as Splunk, HBSS, ACAS 
  • Knowledge of Web technologies, network communications, and authentication protocols, TCP/IP, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, PTP, MPLS, LDAP, RADIUS

Schedule:  Full-Time

Travel:  25%
